Community Spirit Shines Through

The success of the Stow-on-the-Wold 10K would not have been possible without the support of local residents, volunteers, marshals, sponsors and partner organisations who worked tirelessly to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone involved.

The race once again demonstrated the strength of community spirit within Stow-on-the-Wold, with local businesses, community groups and residents helping create a welcoming atmosphere for runners and visitors alike.

Mayor of Stow-on-the-Wold, Councillor Alison Tighe, said:

“It has been wonderful to see so many people visiting Stow-on-the-Wold and enjoying everything our town has to offer. The Stow-on-the-Wold 10K brings together residents, visitors, volunteers and runners in a truly positive way, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day. We’d like to thank everyone who took part and helped make the inaugural Stow-on-the-Wold 10K such a fantastic success. We’ve received some wonderful feedback from runners and local communities along the route, and we’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year.”

Thank You, Stow-on-the-Wold

A special thank you goes to Councillor Alison Tighe, Mayor and Chair of Stow-on-the-Wold Town Council, who has been a tremendous advocate for the event from the very beginning. Her support, enthusiasm and commitment to bringing the race to the town played a significant role in making the inaugural Stow-on-the-Wold 10K a reality.

As the final runners crossed the finish line and celebrations continued throughout the afternoon, the first-ever Stow-on-the-Wold 10K proved to be a fantastic addition to the local events calendar.

A huge thank you goes to every runner, volunteer, sponsor, resident and spectator who helped make the event possible.
