By accessing our website or registering for an event, you agree to the applicable terms set out below.

Please read these terms carefully before completing an event registration. Individual events may have additional conditions, which will be displayed on the relevant event page or during registration.

We reserve the right to update, amend or remove website content at any time.

2. Event Registration & Entry Requirements

All event registrations are subject to the entry requirements, availability, fees and deadlines displayed on the relevant event page.

By registering for an event, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete personal information, including your name, contact details and a valid email address.
  • Meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements specified for your chosen event.
  • Complete the registration process and make full payment before the advertised closing date.
  • Review all event-specific information, including start times, course details and participant instructions.
  • Ensure that your registration information remains accurate and up to date.

Registration is only confirmed once the booking process has been completed and payment has been accepted.

Future Sports Events Ltd reserves the right to close registrations before the advertised deadline where an event reaches capacity or where health, safety or operational requirements make this necessary.

3. Race Rules & Participant Conduct

Events organised by Future Sports Events Ltd may operate under the rules and regulations of recognised national sporting governing bodies, including UK Athletics, where applicable.

All participants must comply with the rules relevant to their chosen event, together with instructions provided by race officials, event organisers and course marshals.

Participants are expected to:

  • Follow the officially designated race route.
  • Respect fellow competitors, spectators, volunteers and event staff.
  • Comply with instructions issued by marshals and race officials.
  • Observe event safety procedures and published course restrictions.
  • Compete fairly and refrain from behaviour that endangers themselves or others.

Failure to comply with event regulations may result in penalties, removal from the course or disqualification at the discretion of the race director.

Unauthorised shortcuts, deliberate course violations, abusive behaviour or actions that compromise event safety will not be tolerated.

4. Participant Health, Safety & Equipment

By registering for an event, you acknowledge that participation in running and endurance events involves physical exertion and inherent risks.

You are responsible for assessing your fitness and readiness to participate in your chosen event.

All participants must:

  • Be medically and physically fit to undertake the selected event.
  • Have completed appropriate preparation and training for the event distance.
  • Seek professional medical advice before participating where there are concerns about their health or fitness.
  • Follow all event safety instructions and medical guidance.
  • Wear appropriate clothing, footwear and any required event equipment.
  • Display their allocated race number clearly and securely throughout the event.
  • Attach and use any electronic timing chip in accordance with the instructions provided.

Race Numbers & Transfers

Race numbers and timing chips are allocated to registered participants and must not be given or transferred to another person without completing the official transfer process.

Unauthorised transfers are prohibited because they may compromise participant identification, emergency contact information, medical arrangements and insurance requirements.

Anyone participating under another competitor's race number without an authorised transfer may be disqualified.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

5. Cancellations, Refunds & Entry Transfers

Event entry fees, refund arrangements and transfer conditions are subject to the policies applicable to each individual event.

Participant Withdrawals

Entry fees are generally non-refundable after registration, except where a refund is available under the event-specific booking conditions, an applicable withdrawal period or relevant law.

Participants who can no longer attend their registered event should contact Future Sports Events Ltd as soon as possible.

Entry Transfers

Where permitted, participants may request to transfer their entry to another person.

All transfers must be completed through the official registration process and within any applicable deadlines.

Transfer eligibility, administration charges and processing arrangements may vary between events.

Deferrals

Requests to defer an entry to a future event will be considered in accordance with the applicable event terms. Deferrals are not automatically guaranteed.

Event Cancellation or Postponement

If an event is cancelled or postponed, Future Sports Events Ltd will communicate the available arrangements to registered participants.

These may include a revised event date, entry transfer, deferral or refund, depending on the circumstances, the applicable event conditions and participants' statutory rights.

Changes to Events

For operational or safety reasons, Future Sports Events Ltd may need to amend event routes, start times, race formats or other arrangements.

We will aim to communicate significant changes to registered participants as soon as reasonably practicable.

6. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information provided during registration will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

Participant information may be used for registration administration, event communications, timing and results, safety arrangements and other purposes explained in our Privacy Policy.

We may share necessary participant information with authorised event service providers where required for the organisation and safe operation of an event.
