Hi everyone

I”d like to take a few moments to introduce myself, My name is Dave wild and I own Future Sports Gear LTD, A bespoke sports clothing brand based up in the North of England with firm connections in South Wales.

We have been involved with professional and amateur rugby, football and other sports for a long time, and have recently been looking at opportunities for sporting events across the UK.

I’m a keen Trail runner and would regularly take part in trail events across Wales and Yorkshire. My first Trail event was the Hoka Half Marathon in Afan forest back in 2019 with a few friends from Doncaster & Leeds, ive been hooked ever since.

I’m keen to see trail running come back to Afan forest and south, west Wales, I look forward to seeing you at our first event in February 2026.

Why Future sports

Future sports events is an event and brand that promotes wellbeing through movement – specifically, running and community. We welcome people from all over the UK to experience the events we promote.

Established in 2024 and based in Yorkshire, Future sports was Founded by runners, our event was born out of a desire to share the natural beauty of the area and the benefits of an active, outdoor lifestyle

We maintain a year-round commitment to supporting and engaging the community through we work with, locally-led runs, brand partnerships/opportunities and storytelling. We believe that a running event is so much more than a start and finish line – with intention, it can be an unforgettable experience that leaves a lasting impact on people and unshakable brand loyalty.
